A reportedly steamy sex scene with Katie Holmes and Aaron Eckhart mysteriously vanished from the version of 'Thank You for Smoking' that was screened at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week.

The excuse was that the movie had not been altered and no one seemed to know exactly what happened. That led to speculation that Holmes fiancée Tom Cruise had the scene pulled from the film.

Not so says a spokeswoman for Fox Searchlight.

The spokeswoman declared, "It will absolutely be released with that scene. We don't know what happened, but we're looking into it."

And the fans of the fabulous Katie Holmes all breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Katie plays Heather Holloway in the film while Eckhart plays Big Tobacco's chief spokesman in the satirical comedy.
