The Latino beauty's tell-tale roots were clearly visible down the center parting of her otherwise golden locks at 2006 NCLP Alma awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
An onlooker said: "People could barely believe their eyes. She looked stunning in every other way but everyone was distracted by the inch-thick grey-white root."
J.Lo is usually the talk of the red carpet because of her famously curvy backside, but on this occasion the groomed star let her perfect image slip.
The onlooker added: "Considering it was one of the biggest events in the Latino calendar, you'd have thought she would have found time for a trip to the hairdressers and a quick re-tint."
