Australia has a set of WELFARE LAWS, and large consumers of Australian produce refuse to purchase from farms who are not up to scratch with such laws for example Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point(HACCP). MacDonalds will not purchase beef from farms that have not passed the Government's HACCP guidelines.

And even though Pink belittled the 'Fly Strike' protection, has anyone looked up how damaging fly strike can actually be to the animal? It is in the animal’s best interest to be protected from the detriment of diseases like Fly Strike. Mulesing is the act of cutting WOOL away from the Sheep's hind, not SKIN. Although it's conceivable that the ODD farm has ludicrous practices, this in no way calls for a boycott of all Australian produce.

Personally I agree with John- Poverty, Drug Trafficking, Disease... all issues that are equally if not more pressing than mulesing of sheep. And if "fuck people" thinks that diseases like Avian Influenza were created by humans they should really think about taking Year 7 biology again.
