One of the most influential people in Angelina Jolie's life died Saturday, her mother Marcheline Bertrand. Jolie's mother died after being diagnosed with cancer at 56-years-old. She survived 8 years with this internal disease.
Grandmother to Angelina's three children Maddox, Shiloh and Zahara, Ms Bertrand raised her two children largely by herself after her divorce from actor Jon Voight and gave up her ambitions as an actress to care for them. Reported Contact Music.
The Good Shepard's star Angelina said that her mother was her light to becoming an actress. Her mother gave up acting to be a mother to Jolie and her brother.
They are requesting donations to be given instead of flowers to the hospital's women's cancer research fund.

It is sad though, I feel sorry for angie. Not that she'll ever read this, but she has my condolences. My mom is the same age as hers & I can't imagine losing her.
