"On American Idol, you go through this mental thing; you've got to get yourself back together. You've been abused, misled and brainwashed to believe whatever they want you to think," Hudson explains, according to Chocolate Magazine, adding
"I was in knots when I left the show but my ambition and support from family and friends brought me to my senses to keep singing!"
