"If you are going to take your clothes off for something, it better be a good cause," says Sophie in her interview with PETA as she shed her clothes for the cause of promoting vegetarianism.
Well known beauty form the Gold Coast, Sophie Monk is PETA's latest star, featuring in a racy, naked ad campaign to persuade people to consider vegetarianism.
The campaign features a naked Sophie lying on a bed of red hot chilli peppers with the words "Spice Up Your Life. Go Vegetarian."
The campaign is one more in the series by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which has featured other raunchy ads with scantily clad celebrities such as Alicia Silverstone and Dita Von Teese.
Of her nude campaign, she said: "There's no doubt in my mind that going vegetarian has made me feel better not only physically but also because I learned about the suffering of animals who are raised and killed for food."
As a longtime vegetarian, Sophie wants fans to know that giving up meat is one of the best things you can do to "spice up your life." Eating a diet of vegetarian foods will give you more energy, help you stay trim, and improve blood flow to all the organs in your body.
"I feel good knowing that I'm not contributing to that."

Ortega, who was a busboy at a local restaurant at the time, claims that on October 4, 2005 at approximately 5 p.m the actress was driving intoxicated on Robertson Boulevard at 62 mph and struck his van mid-turn as he was slowly turning to park. Ortiz was rendered unconscious momentarily, and the actress fled the scene by taking refuge at a local retail shop. Ortiz claims that Lindsay was looking over her shoulder instead of watching the road because she was afraid the paparazzi were pursuing her. The lawsuit also alleges that the actress, who was only 19 at the time, was served alcohol by The Ivy restaurant. Court papers filed by the well known restaurant firmly deny any wrong doing.
Ortiz’s lawyer, Robert G. Klein, said outside of court that this lawsuit is about accountability. Klein said, "Ms. Lohan needs to be held accountable for putting people at risk." Ortiz seeks $200,000 in damages that will cover the loss of his wages and medical bills resulting from his injuries.
In her counter suit, Lohan is seeking $75,000 in damages for repair of her 604 horsepower Mercedes-Benz SL65 and the cost of renting alternate vehicles. Lohan claims she was driving 30 mph when Ortiz turned in front of her, and she was unable to avert hitting his van. The California Highway Patrol reports that Ortiz was at fault for making an illegal u-turn, and they found no reason to suspect Lohan of drunk driving.
The countersuit was issued when Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern denied a motion by Lohan’s lawyer that argued Ortiz’s lawsuit lacked legal sufficiency. The trial is scheduled for April 7, 2008.

Kid Rock has been arrested in Atlanta in connection with a fight at a waffle house, according to reports.
Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, and five members of his entourage were each taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery.
Police say the 36-year-old rapper/rocker stopped by a restaurant early Sunday morning after his band's Atlanta show that night, and a male customer recognized a female in Rock's entourage. Words were exchanged, and a fight ensued.
After cops were called, the singer's tour bus was pulled over, and he and the members of his entourage were arrested. In addition to Rock's arrest, the male customer also has been charged with a felony for allegedly smashing a window of the restaurant.
According to Web site TMZ.com, Rock posted bail and was released Sunday evening from DeKalb County jail, signing autographs on his way out.
