Canadian rocker Avril Lavigne emerged triumphant at the 2007 MTV European Music Awards on Thursday night, taking home two gongs.
Lavigne was given the accolade of Solo Artist Of 2007, while her hit single 'Girlfriend' scooped the award for Most Addictive Track.
Linkin Park won the Band Of 2007 award, and R&B beauty Rihanna beat competition from Beyonce Knowles, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West and Timbaland to win the Ultimate Urban prize.
Timberlake was the biggest loser of the night, after failing to win any of the four categories he was nominated in, including Album Of The Year and Solo Artist Of 2007.
