Still, he told Us he approves of his daughter’s decision to recreate the iconic 1962 photos of Marilyn Monroe known as “The Last Sitting” for New York magazine.
“Lindsay is an adult, and she knows the direction she wants to take her career,” he said. “It’s her decision.
“The fact that the photographer [Bert Stern] who did Marilyn Monroe’s pictures would ask Lindsay to re-create them … that’s an amazing thing.”
One thing he hopes doesn’t come from the photo set: “I pray there are no parallels to her and Marilyn Monroe’s destiny.”(Monroe died of an overdose of barbiturates at the age of 36.)

Former child star Aaron Carter is spending a night behind bars after being caught with more than two ounces of marijuana.
The younger brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick was pulled over last night for speeding by cops in Kimble County, Texas.
Officers found the drugs when they searched his vehicle.
Aaron, 20, was being held overnight in jail and is due to be arraigned in front of a judge today.
Aaron has been romantically linked with starlets Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff.

Angelina Jolie sparked fears for her health after reportedly collapsing on a flight from Iraq to Los Angeles.
The actress visited the war-torn country earlier this month as part of her role as a volunteer for the United Nations' High Commission for Refugees.
But Jolie, who is rumoured to be pregnant with twins, caused panic on her trip back to America after reportedly collapsing in her seat.
According to US publication Life & Style the star was given oxygen and treated by medics before being given the all clear.
A source tells the magazine: "She started to get swollen ankles and nosebleeds and started having leg cramps. She fainted in her seat."
The reports also claim Jolie was offered the chance to stop off and break the journey before continuing on to LA but she insisted on staying aboard the flight.

Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are celebrating the birth of twin babies in New York.
According to People magazine, the babies, a girl weighing 5lbs 7oz and a boy weighing 6lbs, were born early this morning.
Lopez's manager Simon Fields confirmed the news to the magazine, saying: "Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon."
The twins are the first children for the couple, who married in June 2004. Anthony already has three children.

Jessica Alba and her fiance Cash Warren are reportedly expecting twins.
According to US media reports, the 26-year-old star has already told friends that she is pregnant with twins.
A friend reportedly told The National Enquirer: "Knowing that she's going to have twins has literally turned Jessica's life upside down."
"She and Cash have had to scrap their plans for a one-baby nursery and start all over again."
Jessica Alba is reportedly due to give birth in early June.

The East Coast-based entertainment mogul aims to get top billing on the big screen.
“Yeah, leading man kind of stuff; you know, jumping off of buildings,” Combs says in an appearance scheduled to air Friday on CBS’ “Late Show With David Letterman.”
Besides action-packed adventure, the rapper-producer’s ideal film roles would also include “making love to beautiful women” and “very emotional, heart-wrenching scenes.”
Letterman advises Combs to start out doing a smaller, independent movie rather than a big-budget picture that could bomb at the box office.
“Oh, no, no, no, I’m going to take my time with it,” said Combs, who has a clothing line, Sean John, and heads Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment and its record label.
Combs, 38, has had small roles in “Monster’s Ball” and “Made.” He headlined a Broadway revival of “Raisin in the Sun” in 2004, and co-stars with Phylicia Rashad and Audra McDonald in an ABC film version, which airs Feb. 25.
