Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's adoption of 4-year-old Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt has been formally approved in a Los Angeles court.
Jolie adopted Pax from an orphanage in Vietnam last year, after a Vietnamese judge approved the adoption.
On Wednesday a Los Angeles County Children's Court judge approved legally made Pax a member of Jolie and Pitt's family.
The Hollywood couple have three other children, Maddox, 6, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 20 months.

Kutcher celebrated his 30th birthday with a host of A-list stars at New York's Socialista club on Feb 7, 08.
Now, the New York health department has issued a statement, warning anyone who visited Socialista in Manhattan's West Village on Feb 7, 8 or 11 to get a vaccination.
The celebrities have been warned that there's a possibility they might have contracted the liver disease from the bartender, who worked at the bar on Feb. 8 and Feb. 11.
"Any patron who visited the establishment after 8pm on February 7th or 8th, or after 10pm on February 11th (the times the infected person worked after becoming infectious), is considered to be at risk and needs a preventive shot," The Daily Telegraph quoted the health department, as saying.
Socialista was not immediately available for comment, nor were representatives of Moore, Kutcher or Madonna.

's big music comeback is off to a shaky start with news of her reported "disappointment" in the video for her new single, "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow."
The song appears on "Randy Jackson's Music Club Vol. 1," the upcoming album from her fellow "American Idol" judge. It will also be available on Abdul's own forthcoming album.
While the track has received warm reviews, the video made its official premiere yesterday and reportedly has Paula very upset.
“She doesn’t think it’s Heidi Montag-bad, but she’s still trying to pretend like it didn’t happen," a source close to the entertainer tells MSNBC.com. "If Randy (Jackson) wasn’t involved, she’d be more vocal about it, but she does appreciate the fact that he was involved.”
Paula Abdul, a former choreographer and L.A. Laker Girl, is seen in the video performing the song in a sound stage surrounded by dancers working 1980s-style moves. Jackson plays bass in the band, also featured in the video, and "Idol's" Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell make cameos at the end.

The long overdue TRO was the brainchild of the pop star's dad, Jamie, in an effort to save her daughter from further destruction brought by Lutfi, reports claim. Lutfi had denied being on hiding but just as well, he couldn't be seen anywhere and be served for three weeks.
Finally on Thursday at 11 a.m., he was served as he left his apartment in Westside Los Angeles. He can now be officially charged if he can't keep his distance of within 250 yards from Britney, her home, and her family's homes.
The TRO claims that "Mr. Lutfi has drugged Britney. He has cut Britney's home phone line and removed her cell phone charges. He claims to control everything."
Lutfi recently claims to represent the troubled singer in court to try to move her estate case to federal court. He claims that her father, who is her estate's conservator, is violating Britney's civil rights.
