Jay-Z has signed one of the biggest music deals in history, as he has signed a $150 million deal with concert promoter Live Nation.
Jay-Z stated that he will be leaving his record company to sign with Live Nation in what will go down as a historic contract.
This comes just after Live Nation managed to sign both US as well as Madonna to lucrative deals as well.
This deal with Jay-Z will be completed on Friday.
Jay-Z will leave his label, Def Jam, and will be turning over all creative output, songs, touring revenue, etc. to Live Nation. Basically, everything Jay-Z does, is through Live Nation.
He will get $25 million up front as well as an advance of $25 million and $10 million for each album he produces over the next 10 years.

She was a novice onscreen – and Jude Law has been around the block on-camera and off – but their lengthy smooch for My Blueberry Nights has become a hot view on YouTube.
"He's fabulous," said Norah Jones of Law at The Cinema Society and IWC-sponsored premiere of the film in New York Wednesday night. "A great guy."
"All I had to do was be passed out on the table," added Jones. "Jude had to do this whole little dance. My eyes were closed, but it looks good on film. It was ... not bad. I can't imagine anyone better at kissing."
It was director Wong Kar Wai's first film in English, but the steamy scene didn't require words. "I saw good chemistry between them," the director said. "I told Jude, 'When you're playing tennis with a first timer, you have to be prepared for any scenario. And that will bring new energy to your work.' The kiss is the first time that they physically touch. He has to be very precise. He has to get rid of the cream on her lips [from pie] and then kiss."
"He's very cute," singer Chan Marshall, also known as Cat Power, who also smooches Law in the film, told the audience at the Tribeca Grand Screening room. "I kissed him first."
"Well, I kissed him longer," replied Jones.

Uh-uh. Not for $250,000, and sources told TMZ.com that the funds in his bank account weren't even close to that amount. But Raf is saying it was a big a misunderstanding -- and he went willingly with police officers -- to work it out. Unfortunately, we can't give him the benefit of the doubt, considering this isn't the first time he's been accused of playing with cash he didn't have. Last year a lawsuit was filed against Anne's bf for allegedly squandering $1.3 million in business funds from billionaire Ron Burkle. Of course, Raffaelo denied it.
