Amy Winehouseis still Amy Winehouse, no matter how upset, ill or sad she may feel and she proved this once more over the weekend, during the Glastonbury Festival in England, when she unremorsefully punched a fan, apparently in self-defence.
The 24-year-old singer performed several of her hits in front of some 80,000 fans at the Glastonbury Festival, managed to mention her incarcerated husband once more (to some fans’ discontent) and was not afraid to throw a punch at a festivalgoer who reportedly tried to grab her.
Winehouse shared her deep love for her husband of more than 1 year, Blake Fielder-Civil, who has been imprisoned for the better half of their marriage, telling the audience “my husband is out of jail in two weeks.”
The frail songstress later climbed down to the pit in front of the stage in order to meet and greet fans and was at the center of a small and as-of-yet mysterious scuffle.
Onlookers said a fan tried to grab her, to which Winehouse promptly responded by throwing punch.
