Kanye West has been arrested on suspicion of vandalism after a £6,000 camera was smashed in a scuffle with photographers at Los Angeles International Airport.
West's manager, Don Crowley, was also taken into custody after he allegedly grabbed a television camera and threw it to the ground, according to a cameraman involved in the incident at about 7.50am on Thursday.
Mr Crowley faces a possible charge of battery, a Los Angeles airport spokesman said.
The pair were scheduled to board a flight to Hawaii and had not yet reached a security screening checkpoint when a photographer reportedly tried to take the 31-year-old rap star's photo.
According to celebrity website TMZ, whose cameraman was involved in the incident and filmed most of it, West rushed towards the photographer and grabbed a camera. A struggle followed and West allegedly took the camera and threw it to the ground.
"The assistant then is alleged to have grabbed the camera, ripped off the mic and viewfinder and smashed it to the ground."
The video starts mid-confrontation, and does not show how it began or what might have caused it to escalate.
