The DJ girlfriend of actress Lindsay Lohan - who was briefly admitted to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre on Sunday - says her hectic schedule left her with no time to buy presents for the Jewish festival.
Posting on her MySpace page on Monday, Samantha wrote: "Happy Chanukah! Thanks for all your messages, I'm home and all good. I was just pretty exhausted from travelling and working too much to buy Chanukah gifts and my Jewish mother was worried about me."
The 31-year-old star insists she is now much better, and credits the support from her loved ones and good food for her quick recovery.
She added: "I had good company and a Jerry's deli delivery of chicken soup and potato pancakes and am feeling much better and am back to watching all my favourite Jerry Bruckheimer shows!"
