Paris Hilton is "desperate" to star in 'New Moon'.
The 'House of Wax' star - who was given the dubious honour of three trophies for 'Repo! The Genetic Opera' and 'The Hottie And The Nottie' at this year's Razzie awards, which recognise poor performances - has reportedly been bombarding the vampire franchise's star Robert Pattinson with calls in a bid to secure a role.
A source told America's Star magazine: "She has also had her manager call the casting agent to lobby for a part on her behalf.
"Paris is desperate for people to take her seriously as an actress. She thinks she'd be perfect to play one of the vampires. She's even willing to play a victim - she just wants in."
Production on 'New Moon', the sequel to hit movie 'Twilight', has just started and the film is set for release in November.
