The actress plus other entertainers and activists, including rapper Lupe Fiasco and UN executive Elizabeth Gore, were hit by the hazardous weather on the fifth day of their hike up the 19,340ft African mountain to help raise awareness of global water issues. "It's pretty gnarly," said Gore yesterday, "the visibility is only 10 feet in front of you. And it's cold. I've got six layers on... Jess is doing awesome. She continues to bring levity yet seriousness at the same time. ... We've played every game you can imagine."
The group hit 16,000ft yesterday, with just a day left of climbing to reach the summit. Many of the stars are suffering with headaches, nausea and stomach problems due to the high altitude.
