Liam Neeson Will Replace Mel Gibson in The Hangover 2


It appears that Liam Neeson has taken over the role thought to have been Mel Gibson's in The Hangover 2.

Rumors had swilled that Gibson was to be cast in a cameo role as a tattoo artist in the film, however, after tension on the set proved to be the breaking point, director Todd Phillips confirmed that Gibson’s cameo had indeed been cancelled (in no small part, due to the protest of cast member Zach Galifianakis).

Variety is now reporting that Neeson has indeed taken the cameo from Gibson, with the actor confirming;

"I just got a call to do a one day shoot on ‘Hangover 2′ as a tattooist in Thailand, and that’s all I know about it."
