When Billy Ray learned about the fling, he filed for divorce Oct. 27, sources tell Us Weekly.
Michaels, 47, reportedly "became close to the entire family" this past February when he and Miley released the racy duet "Nothing to Lose," an insider says.
Soon after, he and Tish, 43, began a down-low romance.
"Billy Ray was completely unaware of what was going on," the source says.
But Tish is heatedly denying the report and hoping to put her marriage back together.
A rep for the Poison singer has also denied the allegation, saying "there has never been an affair or a fling."
