Kim Kardashian proved last night that her engagement ring is a real diamond, after Jay Leno insisted on setting it on fire to test it.

Kim was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the host wanted to end speculation over whether the 20.5 carat ring from her fiancé Kris Humphries was a phoney.

Wearing a deep purple Zac Posen dress and debuting a new, shorter hair style, Kim reacted nervously to the chat show host's suggestion before finally relenting and handing the enormous diamond over.
