Reese Witherspoon is pretty in pink on the cover of Marie Claire magazine’s October 2011 issue, on newsstands Tuesday, September 20.

Here’s what the 35-year-old actress had to share:

On her divorce from Ryan Phillippe and being a single parent: “I was hard on myself when I got divorced. And until I got remarried, I don’t think I realized how stressed I was. I feel so much relief. I don’t think I realized how stressed I was being a single parent. It was really, really stressful. It’s not easy on anybody.”

On husband Jim Toth: “I got lucky. I did. I got very lucky, and he’s so wonderful with the children. I’m very blessed.”
