Britney Spears will be sawn in half during a magical stage routine as part of her upcoming Circus comeback tour.
The pop superstar has been busy working on a multitude of tricks with illusionist Ed Alonzo to make sure her forthcoming world tour is one to remember.
The top TV magician tells People.com, "There are three giant (circus) rings with unbelievable things hanging in the air and flying around.
"She's incorporated into major illusions. She'll do dissection, where she's sawed in half, and transposition, where she's in one place and ends up in another place. She's doing all the classic elements of magic."
And Alonzo insists Spears is in the best shape possible to pull off the stunts.
He adds, "She looks really incredible. She's really toned. Her stomach looks fantastic. This is the Britney Spears people remember from the past. Even stronger and better."

Britney Spears has hired the services of an illusionist to make sure her comeback concerts next month really are magic.
The pop star has been working with top TV magician Ed Alonzo - and she'll have a few tricks up her sleeve, literally.
Alonzo tells In Touch Weekly, "She’ll be singing, dancing and doing illusions at the same time."
Meanwhile, the singer has been rehearsing eight hours a day, often in a string bikini, to perfect her dance moves with Indian choreographer Rujuta.
He says, "Britney is a perfectionist."
Rujuta reveals Spears is planning a Bollywood-inspired duet with Madonna.

To celebrate the fact that she's no longer shaving her head and driving around drugged up on Bad Sam's sketchy concoctions, Madame Toussads has unveiled a new and improved Britney Spears wax figure.
The "Comeback" effigy features Brit Brit sparkling in her 2008 MTV VMA dress as she proudly holds one of the three awards she won that night.
And, as an added perk, visitors to the museum will be able to participate in a "dance tunnel" where cameras snap them trying to imitate moves from "Slave", "Toxic" and other hits. In other words, a similar scene to my college dorm in 2001.

Britney Spears plays a "super sexy" 50s housewife in her new music video.
The 'Circus' singer dons a short blonde wig, a fitted pink top and a white skirt for the promo for her upcoming single 'If You Seek Amy'.
The pop star - who will kick off her 'Circus' tour in New Orleans next month - has spoken about the promo, which was shot earlier this week.
She wrote on her Twitter account: "The 'If You Seek Amy' shoot was super sexy and really fun! I can't wait for you all to see it. Love Britney."
It has also been revealed Britney has several costume changes and is surrounded by dancers "dressed in skimpy outfits" in the video.
A source said: "The video begins with Britney coming outside her house to hand the paparazzi an apple pie that she baked. She acts like she wants to hook up. The video is very provocative."
Britney's body is back to its former glory and insiders say she was "very professional" and "upbeat" on the set.
Another source said: "She was like the old Britney at the shoot. She was engaged and excited the whole day and seemed like her old self."
'If You Seek Amy' is the third single from Britney's latest album 'Circus'.

Britney Spears' Womanizer video has been named the sexiest promo of 2008 in Playboy magazine's newly-released music poll.
The pop superstar's racy video, in which she appeared naked in a steam room, beat Kanye West's Flashing Lights and Toe Jam by Brighton Port Authority on the Playboy countdown.
Meanwhile, Metallica's Death Magnetic scored the magazine's Best Rock Album, Lil Wayne claimed the Best Hip-Hop Album prize and Portishead landed the Best Electronic Album for Third.
Katy Perry's smash hit I Kissed A Girl was named the favourite song of the past year.

The British-Afghan met the singer in December 2007 and the two dated until the singer’s emotional breakdown last Spring.
According to Heat Magazine, the photog was recently overheard telling friends that he is Britney’s boyfriend, despite the fact that the singer obtained a restraining order against him just two weeks ago.
"I still love Britney. I'm her boyfriend," Adnan told a pal. "Britney has a beautiful soul. We share something really special. The truth about us will come out eventually, but it's not for me to talk about. I love her."

According to The Mirror, Spears has requested a private prayer room for each date on her comeback world tour.
Scherzinger, whose group the Pussycat Dolls are supporting Spears, said that she is keen to use prayer to help the popstar with her problems.
"Britney is a good friend of mine," she said. "I'm looking forward to getting together and having some quiet prayer meetings with her. And I'll be there to talk through whatever it is she is going through. She has been through a tough time and it's important to get together to pray and meditate."

Virgin Mobile USA will sponsor Britney Spears' Circus tour due to kick off in New Orleans on March 3, 2009 with a planned 31 dates in the United States.
"I'm thrilled to partner with Virgin Mobile on my tour," Britney Spears is quoted as saying on her official blog. "They will have cool opportunities for my fans and me to connect, and they'll bring a lot of excitement to the tour."

Britneyhas posted new photos on her website of her working on her dance moves in preparation for her world tour, which kicks off March 3 in her home state of Louisiana.
The 44-date runs for four months and covers the U.S., Canada and London, with plans to expand to the rest of Europe.
This time last year Britney was in turmoil and had to be stretchered out of her LA home but newly pictured in a revealing bikini top, it looks as though the starlet has finally got her groove back.
