Police service representative Stacy Ball at the Van Nuys station says officers arrived at Sheen's Sherman Oaks home late Thursday afternoon and conducted a search for several hours that concluded around 10:30 p.m. She says officers retrieved one weapon, an antique gun.
Ball says such searches are routine in which a person is subject to a restraining order.
Authorities say Sheen was cooperative.
Sheen later tweeted the LAPD were AWESOME. Absolute pros! they can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!!

According to gossip website TMZ, the Two And A Half Men star has hooked up with three porn stars at a Las Vegas hotel for what is alleged to be an "epic bender".
The "companions", who are in Vegas for a porn convention, have joined Sheen in a suite at The Palms Hotel and Casino.
The star attraction among Sheen's companions is Bree Olson, a 23-year-old blonde with a penchant for older men, and the 2008 Best Anal Sex Scene AVN Award to her credit.

Sources close to Anderson tell TMZ ... she believes Charlie was acting so crazy in his hotel room at The Plaza Hotel on Tuesday morning -- that she felt her life was in danger ... and she also felt like she was being held in the room against her will.

The actor, 45, and wife Brooke Mueller filed for divorce on Monday, TMZ confirms. Citing "irreconcilable differences," Sheen is seeking joint legal and physical custody of twins Bob and Max, 19 months; Mueller responded by filing for primary physical custody and joint legal custody.
The couple got into a violent fight last Christmas when Sheen reportedly threatened her with a knife. (Sheen pled guilty on lesser charges and spent time in rehab, not jail, for the offense.)

Security at The Plaza Hotel on Fifth Avenue called police just after 2 a.m. where they found Sheen, sources told The Post.
Tables and chairs had been thrown around the room and a chandelier was also damaged, sources said.
"The Two and a Half Men" star was accompanied to New York Hospital by his ex-wife Denise Richards, who was staying in a separate room.
Sheen, 45, told police he had been "out partying," sources said.
After he returned to his room with an unidentified woman, he noticed his wallet was missing, causing him to fly into a rage, sources said.
Sheen was in town with Denise Richards, 39, and their two daughters.
Fox News reported that Richards was in the city to promote her series "Blue Mountain State."
Sheen, Richards and their kids were spotted around the city this past weekend.

According to TMZ, the Two And A Half Men star will serve 30 days (though really more like 15) in an Aspen prison for attacking wife Brooke Mueller with a knife last Christmas.
It was reported earlier that Sheen was deciding between the jail term or two years’ probation—and it looks like Sheen decided to take his prison lumps than risk a more severe sentence if he got in trouble again. Knowing Sheen's history, the odds of him screwing up again were pretty good.

Charlie Sheen is expected to return to the set of Two and a Half Men on Tuesday, according to his publicist.
Sheen is scheduled to appear in court on Monday on domestic abuse charges stemming from his Christmas Day arrest.
The 44-year-old was arrested following a fight with his wife, Brooke Mueller, at their home in Aspen, Colorado.
He was later charged with menacing, misdemeanour assault and criminal mischief against his wife.
The hit comedy will have been shut down for three weeks if Sheen returns to the studio next week.

Actor Charlie Sheen was arrested Christmas afternoon in Aspen, Colorado. Police were called on reports of a domestic dispute. Upon arriving on the scene Sheen and his wife Brooke Mueller were engaged in what authorities described as “30’s style boxing” in the living room. Police broke up the violence which had apparently been going on for 6 rounds.
According to reports the two had been competing all morning, and were pushed over the line by a heated game of Wii boxing. It started like most holiday domestic disputes with too much Egg Nog too early in the day. From there the married couple went on to play Guitar Hero. Their judgment and coordination impaired by the Nog, neither spouse played to their usual best and both became annoyed. After an epic defeat and being booed off the virtual stage the two decided to settle their differences with Wii boxing, the dangerously lifelike boxing simulation game. Each round only fueled their animosity, until they were screaming at each other and their avatars loud enough for the neighbors to hear. Soon enough an argument arose over the Wii not being responsive or realistic enough, and a real boxing match broke out in the living room.
Sheen was suffering three broken ribs and two cracked teeth at the time of his arrest. His wife Meuller had no injuries other than a few bruises, possibly relating to the fact she is 18 years younger and in better shape than her husband. Sheen later posted bail and immediately got on a flight to Los Angeles to get away from his still angry wife who texted him immediately upon his release “R U ready 4 next round WIMP?”

Sheen was booked for investigation of second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief after allegedly fighting with his wife during their festive celebrations in Aspen, Colorado, where they were spending the holidays with their nine-month-old twin sons.
He was released on Friday (25Dec09) and returned to Los Angeles, while Mueller remained in Aspen - but the couple is planning to undergo counselling together in the New Year.
