British singer Cheryl Tweedy is celebrating after picking up the top honor at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday.
The Girls Aloud star, who launched a solo pop career last year, was presented with the Woman of the Year prize, voted for by readers of the magazine's British edition.

Cheryl Cole took to the stage at the Capital FM Summertime Ball for a raunchy dance routine alongside rumoured love interest and dancer Derek Hough.
The pair performed an intimate routine in front of the 75,000-strong crowd at the radio station's annual Summertime Ball in London.
Cole and Hough have already been linked romantically, with Hough's father recently confirming that the Dancing With The Stars winner is 'in love with her and I think she feels the same way about him'.

The 26-year-old pop star insists her mother Joan Callaghan inspired her to be a better person because she has such a positive outlook on life.
Cheryl - who moved Joan into her marital home while she was still living with her now estranged husband Ashley Cole - said: "My mum's a great person. When I was growing up, she was never somebody who commented on other women. You know you hear women commenting on other women in a mean way? My mother was never like that. Everybody is lovely in her eyes."
The Girls Aloud singer accepts she is now a role model to thousands of women, but it is something she is comfortable with and proud of.
She added in an interview with Style magazine: "If you could just give me one word to be, 'inspirational' would be the one. I want to inspire women to make the best of themselves. Like, one woman, said to me, 'I've got you on my fridge door to inspire me to go to the gym,' and I felt like that about Britney Spears when she did 'I'm a Slave 4 You'. So to think that I can be inspiring someone like that - or in any kind of way - is great."

The 26-year-old Girls Aloud star appears in the February edition of Q magazine in a hard-edge gothic-inspired cover shoot.
With dark eye make-up, red wine lips, drenched hair and with a spiked metal ring, the X Factor judge shows she is a force to be reckoned with.
In the interview, the star said she was unrepentant about branding Lily a 'chick with a d***' back in 2007.
Cheryl Cole made the comments on Gordon Ramsay's F Word show after Lily had publicly branded her husband Ashley Cole 'horrendous' and her bandmate Nicola Roberts 'the ugly one'.
Speaking to Q magazine, she recalled: 'She called my husband "horrendous".
'Then she called Nicola "ugly". For another female artist to call you ugly is so awful.
Nicola’s been called 'ginger’ all her life, then she makes something of herself and everyone calls her the "ugly one".
'I feel very protective of her and if that means I’m going to call Lily ‘whatever’, then I don’t care.'
Cheryl also revealed that she initially thought Lily was being 'complimentary' in her 2006 B-Side track Cheryl Tweedy (Tweedy being Cheryl's maiden name).
The lyrics included the chorus: 'I wish my life was a little less seedy / Why am I always so greedy? / Wish I looked just like Cheryl Tweedy.'
But Lily later commented: 'I was being ironic. Nobody wants to look like that.'
Cheryl also told the magazine about her doubts over the band's 2004 hit Love Machine.
She added: 'I remember listening to Love Machine and thinking, "We cannot put this crap out," that’s what I said to the label: it sounds like something Busted would do.
'Then it went to Number 2. I was, like, Oh right. OK. I’ll keep quiet.'

Cheryl's album 3 Words was executive-produced by Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am, but Jay-Z's input on her career would give her profile in the US an enormous boost.
The 26-year-old singer is said to have hit it off with Jay-Z's wife Beyoncé when she performed a duet on the show with Alexandra Burke.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Cheryl is the biggest fan of Jay-Z and Beyoncé. To hear the feeling is mutual has totally made her year. She never imagined her album would have taken off like this. To get Jay-Z’s support is beyond her wildest dreams."
