Jamie Foxx has apologised to Miley Cyrus after having a rant about her on his satellite radio show.
The US actor, who suggested the 16-year-old Disney star "make a sex tape and grow up!", said sorry and that he didn't mean it, reports The Sun.
He told American talk show host Jay Leno: "I so apologise, and this is sincere - I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don't mean any of it, and sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far."
The actor's insults began flying after someone brought up Hannah Montana star Miley on his radio show.

Actor Jamie Foxx doesn’t seem to be a fan of Miley Cyrus. The 41-year-old slammed the ‘Hannah Montana’ star on his weekend radio show The Foxxhole.
When an on-air conversation turned to Cyrus, 16, Foxx had some harsh words for her. “Who is Miley Cyrus?” he asked.
Someone then explained Cyrus is the star of Disney’s popular kids show ‘Hannah Montana,’ Fox made fun of the star’s smile. “The one with all the gums?” he said. “She’s got to get a gum transplant!”
Foxx went on to suggest that Cyrus grow up and “make a sex tape.” “Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin. Do like Lindsay Lohan…and get some crack in your pipe and start seeing a lesbian…that’s what I want,” he said adding that Cyrus should “catch some chlamydia on a bicycle seat.”

Foxx was determined to create a realistic portrayal of Nathaniel Ayers, a homeless American musician who suffered from schizophrenia, so he took the tool to his mouth to mess up his good looks.
The actor explains to Maxim magazine, "I spent hours getting the nuances of the person, making him real. Something angelic happens and you actually become that person. For Nathaniel, I pushed things a bit. I lost about 20 pounds (9.1 kilos) and I put a gap in my teeth.
"I had one (of my teeth) chipped out with a chisel. My teeth are just so big and white - a homeless person would never have them."
"I wanted to break up my big, shining piano keys to five them a little character. Some might think I f**ked up my grill for nothing, but I just wanted to come up with some s**t to make the part unique."
