After the recent news that her sister, Ashlee Simpson, had been cut from the CW drama, the singer blasted the show on her official Twitter page.
"CW catching up on MP," Simpson Tweeted on Sunday night. "Who writes this crap? i have had bad scripts to work with, but this? thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press."

Jessica Simpson is tired of dating jocks and musicians - she's ready for an academic.
The singer has endured a string of failed relationships since the breakdown of her marriage to singer Nick Lachey in 2005, including rocker John Mayer and American football star Tony Romo.
And Simpson has revealed why she is still single - she gets bored easily and craves intellectual stimulation.

And now PETA has put her on its hit list for performing at SeaWorld. In the Purrs & Grrrs column in the latest Animal Times magazine, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals shows a dour Simpson and writes that she gets "whale-sized grrrs" for performing at the park.

The star – who is in Mumbai for the shooting of her VH1 series 'The Price of Beauty' – was photographed with a bindi dot on her forehead, and an intricate 'Mehendi' design on her hand.
The designs - which take hours to complete - are typically worn at traditional wedding ceremonies.
On Monday evening she attended a bash in her honour at the swish Vie Longe in Mumbai but left after around 90 minutes.
Earlier she went on a shopping spree in the markets of Colaba.

On Twitter Simpson wrote: “@kenpaves and I are going to India!!!!”
In this show, Simpson will reportedly get some beauty pointers from Bollywood actress-model Neha Dhupia (Singh is Kinng), 29, who was quoted as saying: “I know for sure that Jessica will be draped in a saree.”
Simpson reportedly may also study the local dietary fads, beauty regimes and fashions and even take part in some of the extreme practices she finds out.
Simpson will be throwing a grand Bollywood party after completing this shooting, reports indicate.
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has urged Simpson to spend some time in an ashram (hermitage) while in India and explore Hinduism for solace, reinventing her, and to bring meaning to her life. Ashram stay might help bring Simpson tranquility, spirituality and serenity, Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, added in a statement in Nevada (USA) today.
Zed says that ashram is a place of retreat usually used for spiritual development and India is full of them. Even Lord Krishna himself went to sage Sandipani’s ashram to gain knowledge.

Out for a good cause, Jessica Simpson attended Operation Smile’s 8th Annual Smile Gala in Beverly Hills.
The “Angels” singer looked to be in good spirits in a dazzling black jumpsuit as she posed for pictures alongside hairstylist/pal Ken Paves, papa Joe, and mom Tina.
The 29-year-old is an ambassador for Operation Smile, a foundation that strives to heal children’s smiles by repairing facial deformities including cleft lips and cleft palates.
Last night, a special presentation took place to honor the Simpson family for their hard work and continued support of Operation Smile.

But the actress is not just feeling sorry for herself after losing her dog Daisy to coyotes in Los Angeles – she's just not happy with the sleeping arrangements in Uganda.
Jess is in Africa to film her reality show The Price of Beauty, and is seen peeking out from protective nets hung around her bed.
She Tweeted: "WTF?!? Do I really have to sleep like this?"
We'd choose nets over creepy-crawlies any day.
Jess is said to be feeling less depressed than some tabloid reports would have us all believe following her split from Tony Romo and then the loss of her beloved doggie.
"She's so happy just seeing the world and opening her eyes to what's out there," a source tells Us.
"This is a good project for her."
