Breakup rumors spiked when the L.A. Ink star was snapped out with former love Nikki Six on Oct. 5 -- a get-together which, Von D says, was strictly platonic. "I'm not dating Nikki," she told USA Today Tuesday, while signing copies of her new book, The Tattoo Chronicles. "We didn't get back together. Jesse and I didn't break up."
Sounding just as "in love" as before, Von D, 28, gushed about the motorcycle man that infamously broke Sandra Bullock's heart with his cheating ways.
"I've known Jesse for a long time, since I was 22 years old," she says. "I think he's probably one of the most kind-hearted, intelligent human beings."
As for other rumors that the two are engaged (Von D has been showing off a nice, diamond sparkler as of late), the reality star seems to love playing coy.
"I don't know if I really feel comfortable talking about it," she said. "(The ring is) from the 1900s... It's been an addition to all the rest of my jewelry and my Victorian collection. They don't make things like this anymore. There's no more craftsmanship in a lot of things."

Now that Jesse James and Sandra Bullock have officially parted ways, he has finally gone public with his new girlfriend, Kat Von D. While the two look more like a fitted match both sporting tattoos all over their body, we can’t help but feel bad for Sandra.
The couple spent the holiday weekend together and then showed their love even more publicly as Von D kissed James goodbye as she dropped him off at the LAX airport, reports People. James is apparently on his way back to Texas where he can be closer to his kids to maintain their relationship.
But despite the controversy surrounding them, Jesse and Kat seemed happier than ever as they went out for lunch in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Kissing and laughing, the couple couldn't keep their hands off each other, and alternated eating their tacos with public displays of affection at Pinches Tacos in Hollywood.

After being spotted holding hands earlier in the week, Sandra Bullock's ex-husband Jesse James and girlfriend Kat Von D have made their first public appearance as a couple.
The pair stepped out together at the launch of Von D's Wonderland gallery opening in West Hollywood on Thursday night, and made no attempt to hide their fledgling romance.
'Jesse is only my ninth boyfriend. I don't hang out with anybody unless I am in love,' the LA Ink star told People magazine.
The tattooed twosome were spotted holding hands in Fredericksburg, Texas, near Austin where James has relocated for business purposes and so that his kids can be closer to their stepmom, Sandra Bullock.
"They’re definitely not hiding anything at this point," a source close to Von D tells PEOPLE. "Kat’s happy. She doesn’t really care what other people think. She’ll do what she wants regardless."

The star of "LA Ink" took to Twitter on Wednesday to confirm reports that she and Sandra Bullock's ex-husband, Jesse James, are now an item.
"Yes, Jesse and I are dating," the reality star, 28, wrote.
However before she decided to delete the tweet, Von D's message was already re-tweeted by more than 100 people on the social networking site.

The motorcycle mogul, whose divorce from Sandra Bullock was finalized in June, was spotted having dinner with fellow tattoo enthusiast and LA Ink star Kat Von D in Las Vegas Saturday night.
Settling into a table at Palms Casino Resort's N9NE, the duo didn't bother spreading out in the oversized booth, but got cozy by sitting right next to each other.
The two shared the restaurant's signature rock shrimp and classic Caesar salad. They also both enjoyed the filet with a side of asparagus, and drank Fiji water with dinner.
Toward the end of the meal, the duo were spotted holding hands.
They continued holding hands as they left dinner and headed to a black Mercedes that James was driving.
A rep for James had no comment. Calls to Kat Von D's rep were not returned.
