ET was with Kate Hudson Monday night as she premiered her new movie, 'My Best Friend's Girl,' in Hollywood.
Kate Hudson tells ET about the new film and about watching her language in front of her adorable son, Ryder.
"I try very hard not to do it around my son," Kate says about using "bad" words. "That's a big no-no. You drop something, you say a bad word, and they're like, 'Mommy, you don't say that!'"
'My Best Friend's Girl,' which hits theaters this Friday, September 19, tells the story of a guy (Cook) whose best friend (Biggs) asks him to take his ex (Hudson) on a date to treat her so badly that it convinces her of what she's missing -- but does the plan backfire? "30 Rock"'s Alec Baldwin co-stars as Dane's single, on-the-prowl dad.

The free-spirited actress, who has reportedly dated Lance Armstrong and Owen Wilson since splitting from the rocker, admits she and her ex have "figured it out", and they're happiest when they're together.
Hudson, who shares a son, Ryder, with Robinson, tells Cosmopolitan magazine, "We're still basically living together. We've figured it out. I mean, obviously, nothing's perfect... (Our divorce) is the best thing that ever happened to us."
The couple split in 2006 after six years of marriage.

Kate Hudson graces the cover of W Magazine’s September issue and opens up about her ex, her party days, her dating life and much more.
On taking risks: “I have this personality—and there’s a downside to it too—but I have this thing where it’s like, okay, I’ve chosen to bungee jump off this ledge. I have to do it. And if the cord snaps, well, I might as well enjoy the ride down.”
On spending the “prime Hollywood partying years” of her early 80’s caring for her son, Ryder: “Am I gonna look back and say, God, I wish I could have gone to that… that… concert? I’d rather be listening to my son sing songs. I’d rather be watching him sleep.”
On keeping in touch with ex-husband Chris Robinson: “We iChat with Chris constantly. No matter what is going on in my life, relationship-wise, Chris takes absolute precedence. It’s important for Ryder to hear me say how wonderful Chris is, and how much Chris misses him.”
On exposing details of her dating life: “It’s so hard for me, because I’m so open, to hold back. I could really just go on forever about this stuff. We can talk about Chris till the dogs come home. I married Chris, I had a baby with Chris, Chris will be in my life for the rest of my life. But everything else—I’ve learned that things are better left private until you’re actually planning the wedding.”
