Kate Hudson stepped out on Monday evening to tape an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” in New York City.
The 29-year-old Californian finished off her look with two-toned Sergio Rossi shoes, Jack Vartanian jewels and black Woldford tights.
Kate recently spoke about her daredevil side! She said, “At 16 I was crazy – I’d go heli-skiing, bungee jumping, anything that seemed like fun. As children we always skied out of bounds – the black runs, the double blacks and the black bowls. I thought I was going to die heli-skiing in Colorado!”

"I'm actually enjoying being single right now because I really never have been," Hudson – who's dated Lance Armstrong and Owen Wilson – tells InStyle magazine for its January issue.
"I feel good in relationships," says the 29-year-old actress. "I enjoy them, so I feel my best when I'm in something solid. But it's also the first time I've ever taken a step back and gotten a new perspective."
"So," concludes Hudson, "I've made a conscious decision to try to stay single as long as possible."
McCartney, who interviewed Hudson for the magazine, chimes in, joking, "What's it been – all of two weeks? Congratulations!"
"Exactly," quips Hudson, who McCartney says has "always been in demand."
There is, however, one man who will always be in her life: Ryder, her son with ex-husband Chris Robinson.
The Bride Wars star says she plans to take a break next year from her busy work schedule so that she can spend more time with her son, who turns 5 next month.
"When he climbs into bed with me, wraps his arms around me and says, 'Mommy, the sun's up! It's a beautiful morning!' I'm sorry, do I really want to go to work then?" she asks. "No!"

Among the guests: Courteney Cox went dressed as a witch with husband David Arquette as a warlock, Winona Ryder was a mouse, Cindy Crawford dolled up as Amy Winehouse. But cowboy-clad Gerard Butler was the main attraction.
Our insider reports, "All the girls at the party were lining up to talk to Gerard . . . he left with two very sexy vampires."

The You, Me and Dupree star says she likes to rehearse sex scenes so she knows what she is doing and has something to concentrate on before filming starts.
She explains, "I like to prepare for love scenes with lots of rehearsal. But in reality you just get on with it. You have that moment of 'OK here we go' then you just have to take a deep breath and get on with it."
Kate, 29, also makes sure she has fresh breath before filming intimate scenes.
She added, "I make sure I've had my fresh breath mints.
"At the time of filming My Best Friend's Girl I was smoking, so that must have been nice for Dane Cook. But I've quit now."

The free-spirited actress, who has reportedly dated Lance Armstrong and Owen Wilson since splitting from the rocker, admits she and her ex have "figured it out", and they're happiest when they're together.
Hudson, who shares a son, Ryder, with Robinson, tells Cosmopolitan magazine, "We're still basically living together. We've figured it out. I mean, obviously, nothing's perfect... (Our divorce) is the best thing that ever happened to us."
The couple split in 2006 after six years of marriage.
