Lady Gaga may sport an ever-changing series of risque outfits, but the pop singer says two things are permanent: her tattoos and her bow tie 'do.
The 23-year-old star, her real name Stefani Germanotta, showed off her newest body art Sunday night before performing the hit songs "Poker Face," "Just Dance" and "Paparazzi" at Seoul's Olympic Hall during the Asian leg of her "Fame Ball" tour.
The curling script on her left arm is a souvenir from a midnight session at a tattoo parlor in Osaka, Japan.
"It says 'In the deepest hour of the night, confess to yourself that you would die if you were forbidden to write. And look deep into your heart where it spreads its roots, the answer, and ask yourself, must I write?'" she said.

Lady GaGa has spoken about her forthcoming joint headline tour with Kanye West.
The dates have yet to be announced but she says the two maverick artists are already planning a spectacular show.
GaGa told the BBC: “It's been fun to work on the design of the tour with him - we're finishing each other's sentences.”
"I love Kanye. Kanye is my very dear friend and we are creative kindreds."
She continued: “It's going to be one of the most ground breaking moments in touring history. I am sure of it."
Kanye has employed Daft Punk’s sci-fi inspired pyramid in his live shows before while Lady GaGa has recently been setting fire to her breasts on stage.

But that would be a boundary too far, even for the shameless 23-year-old. On close inspection she was wearing a flesh-toned leotard, which matched her skin-tone a little too well.
Oops! Lady GaGa popped out of her bra while on stage at a gig in Ibiza.
The singer suffered the embarrassing wardrobe malfunction when her nipple slipped out of her bejewelled bra - which seemed a few sizes too small - during her energetic performance.

The singer Lady GaGa showed just how fashion-forward she is by stepping out in just her underwear.
Well, she's famous for ditching her pants so it was only a matter of time before she got rid of her top too.
The Poker Face singer was spotted leaving one of her gigs at Stadtpark in Hamburg, Germany, in just a pink bra, bejewelled knickers and sunglasses.

Putting her odd fashion sense on display, Lady GaGa donned a jacket made completely of Kermit the Frog dolls while interviewing for a German television show on Monday (July 20).
“My friends and I in New York dress this way because it’s the way we live,” the “Poker Face” singer explained. “We believe in vanity.”
Continuing to explain her unique outfits and look, GaGa tells, “I dress this way because my whole life is art, and my whole life is performance.”
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old adds, “You don’t need money to live the way I live. All you need is a good idea and creativity.”

Lady GaGa hasn't wasted any time in moving on from her ex-lover - she was spotted canoodling with the creative director of her tour on a recent night out in London.
The outlandish singer split from her entrepreneur boyfriend, known only as Speedy, just weeks after they were photographed holding hands and kissing passionately in Hawaii in June (09).
She later insisted that she was happy being single, and slept with members of her band "because it's easier."
And it seems the star found it easy to get intimate with another member of her entourage after her performance at the British capital's 02 Brixton Academy on Tuesday (14Jul09).
A source says, "GaGa headed to Balans in Soho for a meal, but soon all of her attention was on her creative director. Things looked very cosy between the two of them as they snuggled up and he started nuzzling her neck."

Lady GaGa performs on day three of the Oxygen Music Festival in Ireland on Sunday (July 12).
The 23-year-old singer wore the same outfit that she wore in England a few days before.
