Lady Gaga has been named as the top fashion buzzword of 2010, thanks to her unusual costumes.
The Poker Face hitmaker ranked No. 1 on the style list for the spring, according to the Global Language Monitor.
The 23-year-old was said to have pipped Michelle Obama in the oh-so-fashionable list with the US First Lady sitting on No.15, reports the New York Daily News.
The star is known for sending shock waves with her outlandish costumes and bizarre stage antics.

Elton John and Lady GaGa proved they're the weirdest stars in showbiz last night by smearing themselves in dirt for their duet at the Grammys.
The bonkers Poker Face star tottered on stage in 6ins stilettos and crystalstudded leotard.
The odd couple then sang GaGa's new single Speechless as well as Elton's classic Your Song sitting at opposite ends of a bizzare piano that sprouted arms.
GaGa - who scooped two gongs at the ceremony in LA - raved afterwards: "I'd fantasised about this for a while and we got to do it... I'm really just floored."
Lady GaGa, known for her crazy, outlandish outfits, did not disappoint at the 2010 Grammys.
Gaga was dressed in Armani for the lavish event. Giorgio Armani created a variety of special pieces for Lady Gaga to wear for both the evening’s ceremony and for her special live stage performance.
Giorgio Armani says of the collaboration: “We hear Lady Gaga’s music everywhere we go. It is like a soundtrack of our times. In addition to her formidable songwriting skills, she is a modern fashion phenomenon. I am delighted to be creating these outfits on such an important night for her, the Grammys, and I wish her the best of luck.”
Lady Gaga adds, “I am honored to be wearing Armani this evening. The series of pieces Mr. Armani created for me are truly iconic; they represent not only beautiful fashion, but my spirit and essence as an artist. Mr. Armani is a fashion legend, and tonight would not have been the same without his touch, and his wonderful team.”
Lady GaGa, who shocks the fashion world with her wacky outfits and hair, appeared on a reality show before she was famous, it has emerged.
The star, who was a brunette at the time, appeared as a contestant on MTV's Boiling Points programme back in 2005.
The candid camera type show featured Lady GaGa being subjected to rude and annoying behaviour, all the while, completely unaware that she was being filmed.
A waitress was GaGa's target as she took her food away before bringing it back covered in rubbish.
The mega star could have pocketed $100 if she did not swear for 14 minutes, but after 12 GaGa lost her temper and swore at the waitress.
According to the Daily Mail, she was heard telling the waitress: “Would you put that in your mouth? It has s**t all over it...clearly you would because you're just, like f***** up.”

Lady Gaga has unveiled one of her craziest headpieces to date, a hat made from her own hair.
The 23-year-old flamboyant pop star wore her hair teased out in the shape of a sunhat during an appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The Poker Face singer poses in an avant garde style, wearing a delicate makeup (almost normal, if you know what I mean) and an elaborate hat covering half her face. In the photo shoot for 944 magazine Lady Gaga is wearing a shimmering white dress and pink curled hair. Fierce!
Considered to be an Icon for the next generation, Gaga says: "there’s nobody like me and there never was."
