Miley Cyrus turned 16 last month and the teen sensation made it crystal clear -- she wanted a car. "Extra" caught up with Miley on the set of Disney's "Hannah Montana" -- and her birthday wish came true! "I do have a car. I took my mom's old car," she revealed. "I didn't get the one I wanted, but I got the old car which wasn't so bad because it was a Porsche ... it was a pretty good hand me down."
How did the "Hannah Montana" star get the news? Miley said, "I got a text from four different people... I was like 'Holy Moly!' It's good because people will take me a little more seriously."

This has been a big week for Miley Cyrus. On Wednesday, the 16-year-old got her learner's permit to drive. Then on Thursday morning (December 11), she woke up to the news that she received a Golden Globe nomination for the song "I Thought I Lost You," her duet with John Travolta for "Bolt" that has already received Oscar buzz.
"I'm so stoked! I never expected to get nominated," Cyrus, who co-wrote the song with Jeffrey Steele, told People.com. "I can't believe I'm on the same list as Clint Eastwood, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen and everyone else."
The "Hannah Montana" star said she woke up Thursday morning at 5:30 a.m. to an onslaught of text messages congratulating her on the nomination. She later celebrated on the set of her hit Disney series as the show's producers gave the young star flowers.
What will she wear? "I think it's going to be long," she said of her outfit.

Miley Cyrus performed “Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town” in Disney World Saturday as part of the annual Disney Christmas parade. The performance is part of a TV special set to air on Christmas Day. Also part of the musical special will be the Jonas Brothers’ rendition of “Joyful Kings” and Corbin Bleu singing a Disney Parks original song, “Celebrate You.”
"I do want to come to London to study photography. I hear there are some really great art schools, so I would love to do that. I got to work with an amazing photographer. Leibovitz was amazing and so talented," the 16-year-old says. "And that’s what I want to do with my life. I would love to be a photographer. I would love to work with her again."

Teen starlet Miley Cyrus thrilled millions of fans in New York on Thursday (27Nov08) by wrapping up against the cold to take part in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The Hannah Montana star waved at fans on a float advertising her new animated movie Bolt, as the parade worked its way from Central Park to downtown Manhattan.
Fellow singers Rick Astley, Ashanti, Trace Adkins, American Idol star David Archuleta and actress Kristen Chenoweth also turned out in the chilly weather, to ride on some of the 28 floats taking part in the parade, which is organised by New York's famous department store MACy's.

Basking in the glory of finally turning 16-years-old, Miley Cyrus was the center of attention at the Nokia Theatre where the 2008 American Music Awards were taking place on Sunday night.
After being introduced by her country-singing father, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley took to the stage for a performance before making her way backstage to get her “Sweet 16” celebration underway.
Joining the “Hannah Montana” starlet were good friends Taylor Swift, Julianne Hough and Ashley Tisdale, as well as her mother Leticia Cyrus and sister Brandi, among other pals.
The gang all shared hugs and laughs as they watched Miss Cyrus blow out the candles on her multi-layered birthday cake and surely open some fabulous presents!
