Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia is the latest celebrity to pose for anti-fur advertisements for PETA.
The 33-year-old singer appears in a new campaign about the “tortuous” methods used to kill animals for fur. Pictured cuddling a very fluffy rabbit in a photo shot recently in London by celebrity photographer Karl Grant, Imbruglia was extremely excited about the campaign. But her plans to do a live launch were hindered by her recording commitments.
“There is no kind way to rip the skin off animals’ backs,“ she said. “In the wild, animals are caught in snares and steel-jaw traps that slam down on their limbs – they often cut down to the bone and mutilate animals’ legs and paws… Anyone who wears any fur shares the blame for the torture and gruesome deaths of millions of animals each year.”

Natalie Imbruglia is reportedly romancing Sir Richard Branson's son.
The Torn singer - who recently split from husband Daniel Johns - was seen canoodling with the Virgin tycoon's son Sam during a bash at London's Kensington Roof Gardens.
The $200,000 ski-themed party was held to celebrate Sam - who at 23 is 10 years Natalie's junior - leaving to go on an Arctic expedition.
An onlooker said: "They are pretty besotted with each other and Natalie is even talking about meeting him in the Arctic."

The business mogul claims the pair found the news humorous - because his son has been dating actress Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe for a year.
Branson says, "Sam was very flattered to have his name attached to hers but he actually already has a girlfriend. He's known Natalie since he was about 15, she's a close friend of the family.
"I saw Natalie last week and she was certainly smiling about the whole situation."

Natalie Imbruglia has split from her rock singer husband after four years of marriage, the Daily Mail reported.
The 32-year-old said she and Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns had grown apart due to the pressures of work.
The couple met at an awards show party in 1999 and married four years later on New Year's Eve in a beachside ceremony.
With former "Neighbours" star Imbruglia based in the U.K. and Johns living for much of the time 10,500 miles away in Australia, it made for an unconventional marriage.
Before her marriage, Natalie was linked to Lenny Kravitz and "Friends" actor David Schwimmer.
Imbruglia shot to fame after she swapped a TV career as Beth Brennan in the Australian soap "Neighbours" for pop and released the best-selling single "Torn," which became her biggest hit.
Her debut album, "Left of Middle," sold six million copies worldwide.
