Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey are expecting their first child, Lachey announced Monday morning on Live! With Kelly.
"She's just 12 weeks," a source tells Us Weekly of Minnillo, 30. "They're both thrilled so excited. Can't wait to meet the new little one."
"She was in New York and I was in the Bahamas," Lachey explained on Live! of discovering the big news. "She went to the store and got a pregnancy test and it came back positive. We're having a baby!"
Gushed the ecstatic dad-to-be: "This is the one thing that more than any other I've looked forward to, and it's overwhelming."

Continuing along with their romantic getaway, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo were spotted soaking up the sun in Los Cabos, Mexico on Sunday.
The recently engaged couple lounged poolside as Miss Minnillo flaunted her fit figure in a pink bikini while her fiance showed off his toned bod while roaming around in swim trucks and a ballcap.
"We're excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together," the longtime couple announced in a joint statement.
Lachey, 36, popped the question to Minnillo, 29, on Thursday "near a beach" in California, with an Asscher-cut diamond flanked with trapezoids from Bader & Garrin, a source tells PEOPLE.
On Thursday afternoon, Lachey took to Twitter to write, "Hey all. If anyone's heard the rumors of my engagement, they are absolutely true! Vanessa and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for all the love."

It is being rumored that although the three never spoke to each other while all out at dinner, Jessica wasn’t too happy with the situation, states UsMagazine.com.
"I hope Vanessa likes her clothes because I bought them for her, since Nick took all my money," Jessica is rumored to have said this after seeing the two enter for the night.
It is also being reported that the event was awkward and Jessica began drinking a bit more to deal with the situation.

The ex-98 Degrees singer, who broke up with Vanessa Minnillo last month, was reportedly drinking with friends at Madame Royale until a group of girls joined him.
An eyewitness, who saw Lachey leave in a SUV, told E! News: "At one point, he picked up five girls and they all snuck out the back door with him."

Rumors of a split between Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo refuse to go away -- the TV beauty has been forced to deny she is romancing her "Disaster Movie" co-star Matt Lanter.
Lachey -- who split from Jessica Simpson in 2006 after four years of marriage -- has been dating TV presenter/actress Minnillo since 2007.
The romance was rumored to be in trouble last week, and a representative for Lachey came forward to deny the pair had broken up.
But speculation about a possible split has been reignited following reports that Minnillo spent an evening in Los Angeles with "90210" actor Lanter.
New York Post gossip column Page Six also alleges the duo were getting cozy at a local nightspot.
However, a representative for Minnillo has blasted the claims, insisting the pair is friends because "they made a film together."

Lachey has been dating model/TV presenter Minnillo since 2007.
But, according to the New York Daily News, the singer is set to end the romance over fears Minnillo is harming his career.
A source tells the publication, "(They) are on the rocks big time. They argue all the time, and Nick is done with her. He feels like she's holding him back, career wise."
However, a representative for Lachey has denied the report, saying, "To my knowledge, everything is great with them."

Still, reliable sources confirm to me exclusively that Nick Lachey is heading to the CW for at least one episode of the fan-favorite series One Tree Hill later this season.
So who will he play? And which lovely Tree Hill lady will he be getting close to?
According to insiders, Nick will be playing a singer, former reality star and former boy bander who is dating Vanessa Minnillo.
(Yes, he is playing himself.)
In the storyline, a record label wants to buy one of Haley's (Bethany Joy Galeotti) songs that she wrote for Nick's new album, but she is hesitant to sell any of her music, so he will appear.
Nick has a new album coming out this spring called Coming Up for Air, which includes a duet he recorded with new American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi.
