Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban revealed Monday that they are the parents of a baby girl.
Faith Margaret Kidman Urban arrived Dec. 28 at The Women's Hospital at Centennial in Nashville. Faith was born through a gestational carrier and is the biological daughter of Kidman and Urban.
"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret," the family says in a statement. "No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier."
Kidman and Urban, both 43, had kept the birth a secret, saying nothing about being new parents when they attended the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.

On hoping and praying to find someone like husband Keith Urban: “I remember thinking, Oh, my God, if you ever gave me a man like that, I promise I would be completely devoted for the rest of my life. Something that wild. I remembered praying after I met him that I’d meet somebody, if not him, like him.”
On family versus a career: “I like to ask people if they would rather have a great love that lasts a lifetime or an amazing career where you go down in history. Some people do answer that they want an extraordinary career.” FYI: Both Nicole and Jennifer said they would choose love!
On motherhood: “I had kids at 25 and 27 [Isabella and Connor, Nicole’s adopted children with first husband Tom Cruise]. I think I have more patience now but less physical energy. It’s a trade-off: In your 20s, you’re bounding around, they’re attached at your hip, and you can just go and do anything. But I’m much more of a homebody now. My roots are deeper.”
On what she would tell her 20-year-old self: “That you’re going to meet the love of your life. My whole thing, my whole thrust in life, was hoping I would.”
On moving to Nashville: “I love living a ways away. That’s what I’ve worked for in my career, to not have to live in Los Angeles. So it was fortuitous that Keith happened to live in Tennessee. He brought me down to this place called Leipers Fork, just outside of Nashville, very lush and rural. I just went aaah. You know how you dream as a girl; I’m one of those people. I would meet a guy, then I would imagine myself married and with kids within the first hour. [Laughs] But it worked out.”

Onstage they shake their hips and arms in an attempt to be the best hula dancer and maybe settle the score once and for all.
Speaking to US showbiz news programme Entertainment Tonight, Aniston said: 'There were times when I thought, 'this could look like a really bad version of Dancing With The Stars.''
And when Kidman was complimented for her hip-swinging hula moves, she brushes off her dancing talent saying: 'I'm really bad - I just fake it.'
"We're actually going to be funding a school down there for the next five years," Keith told radio station CatCountry 96 in Bethlehem, Penn.
In addition to an education, the school will reportedly provide basic health needs to the children.
"It's in Port-Au-Prince. The kids will also have one hot meal a day. They'll have all of their medical taken care of by the school, and clothing, as well," the country star continued.
The couple is reportedly joining forces with Oscar-winning director Paul Haggis and the Artists for Peace and Justice organization to spearhead the project.

Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Gerard Butler, Daniel Craig and Sean Penn each pledged to give $50,000 a year for five years to Artists for Peace & Justice's Haiti relief fund.
Haggis persuaded the actors to donate at a brunch at his LA home Sunday which raised $4.5 million. The charity founded by Haggis promises to spend 100 percent of donations on emergency relief and medical supplies.

Someone's makeup artist may be getting fired! Nicole Kidman has caused a ruckus during the red carpet premiere for "Nine" in Manhattan when she appeared all glammed up but with a questionable white powder mark on her eyes and nose.
The 42-year-old usually flawless star would have looked perfect in her strapless, short black dress if not for the extra white powder under her eyes and on her nose.
"Strangely enough, I love putting clothes in the washing machine. I would always do the washing growing up – that was one of my jobs. And I quite like ironing shirts." - Nicole Kidman.
Nicole Kidman has been dubbed 'freakish' following a red carpet appearance during the CMA Awards.
The actress - said to resemble Meg Ryan – raised eyebrows after turning up at the Country Music Awards in Nashville on November 11.
A source said: "She looked freakish.
"She just had her lips done, and now she looks like Meg Ryan."
The Australian actress is then said to have "fled" the red carpet to avoid questions from the media, the New York Post reports, leaving husband Keith Urban wondering where she had gone.
A source said: "She just flipped out and took off running.
"Keith kept saying, 'Where is she? Where is she?' "
A representative for Kidman, 42, was unavailable for comment.
The "Iron Man" actress has signed on to replace Charlize Theron in "The Danish Girl", an adaptation of a novel about the first post-operative transsexual.
The film follows Danish artists Einar and Greta Wegener who found success after Einar stood in for a female model that Greta was set to paint. As their work gained popularity, Greta encouraged her husband to continue to adopt a female guise. This eventually led to Einar undergoing a sex change operation in 1931, shocking the world and threatening their marriage.
Nicole previously won an Oscar for playing a lesbian in "The Hours", while Gwyneth's character in "Shakespeare In Love" disguised herself as a man.
