The rocker's daughter and her cousin were passengers in his vehicle when Sambora was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving last month, and police want prosecutors to get tough with him.
The arresting officers at the Laguna Beach Police Department, in California, handed over the case to the Orange County District Attorney's Office last week. Formal charges have yet to be announced.
Sambora faces jail time if prosecutors choose to accept the police recommendations. His arraignment is set for May 7.

Denise Richards and Richie Sambora have been getting cozy: The pair were spotted kissing in Southern California this weekend.
Last Saturday, Richards, 35, and Sambora, 46, Heather Locklear's ex, appeared at Le Café in the Westlake Village neighborhood outside LA late afternoon, they had come in separate cars. They were in the parking lot, kissing, then they walked hand-in-hand, smiling and chatting as they walked into the restaurant.

The Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora filed papers in LA, the papers read "The judge is prejudiced against the party or the interest of the party so that the affiant (Sambora) cannot or believes that she (Sambora's attorney) cannot have a fair and impartial trial." According to Virendaslife.
