Country singer Shania Twain's estranged husband has given his blessing to her rumored new romance with his alleged mistress' ex. Twain split from husband Mutt Lange in May, after discovering he was romancing the couple's longtime secretary Marie-Anne Thiebaud, the manager of their Swiss estate.
Thiebaud's husband, Frederick, joined the country star for a trip to New York last week, sparking reports the two hurt exes have formed a special friendship.
And Lange insists he's not bothered by reports of their alleged romance.
When asked if he was upset to see his Twain stepping out with his love rival he tells the National Enquirer, "Not at all. He's a great guy. I have no idea that is even the case. They are very good friends anyway. I wouldn't mind if it was the case they were dating, not at all."
Adding of his plans to marry Marie-Anne, Lange adds, "It isn't even that. The whole story was just a story as we are just friends in the same way Shania and Fred are. Shania didn't name Marie-Anne as the third party in the divorce. She did not."

The Country Music Association promised a major surprise in the lead up to Wednesday's CMA Awards – and it came at the tail-end of the three-hour telecast: Shania Twain presented the final honor of the night – entertainer of the year – to Kenny Chesney.
"You look really good tonight!" he said as he took the trophy in his hands.
Shania Twain, wearing a low-cut Missoni gown, had walked out to a standing ovation. "It's good to see all of you too," she told the crowd Wednesday at Nashville's Sommet Center. "I hope to be seeing a lot more of you."
Shania Twain, 43, won the coveted entertainer of the year award in 1999, and was last at the CMA awards in 2004
The 'That Don't Impress Me Much' singer has thanked her fans for their support since she split from Robert 'Mutt' Lange after 14 years of marriage, and is hoping to express her emotions through her music.
She wrote on her official blog:
"To my beloved fans:
As I am sure you have seen or heard; I am going through a rough time personally in my life. I wanted you all to know that I could not be getting through this without you. Your letters, emails and words of encouragement give me strength. Your overwhelming support reminds me to smile, no matter how deep the pain and to always be grateful for all the beautiful blessings in my life.
I have so much to say but I know the best way for me to speak is through my music. This is my therapy, my passion, and my love. I look forward to sharing it with all of you as I begin this new journey.
I need some time to heal this broken heart but make no mistake; I will be back and hopefully stronger than ever.

Singer Shania Twain has separated from her husband of 14 years, record producer Robert John 'Mutt' Lange.
A spokesperson for the singer told People magazine: "This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time."
Lange produced Twain's three major albums, which each sold over 10m copies in the United States.
The couple, who have always tended to avoid the media spotlight, have a six-year-old son called Eja.
