The couple ended its two-year marriage in 2006, but became close again after the Blink-182 drummer almost died in a plane crash in South Carolina last September (08).
And the rocker and his ex admit the crash was the inspiration behind their decision to become man and wife once again.
Former beauty queen Moakler tells Us Weekly magazine, "We would like to renew our vows and have another wedding.
"It's not so much about the wedding but about having a celebration of each other and getting through all the crazy things we've been through.
"When you almost lose a loved one, it makes you appreciate things you took for granted."
The couple has two children - three year old Alabama and five-year-old son Landon.

It looks like reality star Kim Kardashian is the butt of yet another joke about her famously voluptuous backside. Model Shanna Moakler says Kardashian, 27, is a "fat donkey."
"I was at this BBQ [in July] and I saw what I thought was a donkey posing on the stairs, but much to my surprise, it was Kim Kardashian," Moakler, 33, tells TheDirty.com. "No, wait, it was a donkey!"
Moakler, who was crowned Miss USA in 1995 and was a Playboy Playmate of the Month in 2001, met Kim at a barbecue held by mutual friend Carmen Electra, where Moakler admitted throwing a drink at Kim. Moakler claims Kardashian once tried to sleep with her ex-husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.
"She's soooo f***ing fat!" says Moakler. "She's 5'2" and she's like 140 [lbs]. She was wearing a sarong to cover her huge big a**! I like a nice a** but hers is not nice!" Interestingly, Kim recently stated she weighs 120 lbs., a claim few people seem to believe.
Earlier this year, Kim's former BFF Paris Hilton also made poked fun at her gigantic bum, saying it looks like "cottage cheese stuffed inside a trash bag." Kardashian, who shot to global notoriety following the release of a sex tape, has been making the most of her 15 minutes of fame: She stars in a hit E! reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and has a film coming out this fall, Disaster Movie, co-starring Electra and fellow C-lister Vannessa Minnillo.

You were booted from Dancing With the Stars pretty early. You bitter?
I feel like I didn’t really get the chance to show what I could do, which was kind of a bummer, but, in the end, we had fun.
Will you bust out those moves again?
Maybe around the bedroom sometime.

Having children doesn’t mean you can’t be sexy. You don’t have to stop being young or living your life. My kids are in bed at eight. I’m not gonna sit home and watch TiVo all night.
Does living the high life in L.A. ever get to you?
There’s a fake aspect that comes with Hollywood. Everyone’s afraid someone might become famous the next day, and they don’t want to burn any bridges.
You didn’t seem too concerned about burning bridges at your “divorce party” in Vegas, before you and your husband, Travis Barker, reconciled.
It was all done in good fun. In no way was I celebrating divorce or trying to hurt Travis’ feelings. I really just wanted to have a night with my girls to feel good about moving forward and being single.
You had a wedding–style cake with a mini blonde bride on top and a mini Travis lying at the bottom.
I didn’t bake that cake! I didn’t ask for a cake, and I didn’t know anyone was bringing me a cake. The head baker at the Bellagio thought it was a funny idea. The level of detail was insane. The groom had tattoos and a little Mohawk. It was unbelievable.
So once and for all: Did you give Paris Hilton a beat–down after she sucked face with Travis?
We had words. If I don’t like you, I don’t like you. And that’s OK—we don’t have to like each other. But I didn’t punch Paris in the face. I wouldn’t. I think she’s constantly used—by the media, by her friends, by men. At the end of the day, I look at her and just feel bad for her.
Would you do another reality show like the one you and Travis did for MTV, Meet the Barkers?
If I had more control over it, sure. People take what they see on TV as truth, but there’s nothing real about reality television. It’s edited. Now I know what to show.
Current Miss USA Tara Conner was in hot water for partying. How was your time in the tiara?
It was crazy—I had a chaperone! I was 19, I’d just left home, and I had someone telling me, “You can’t smoke, you can’t drink, you can’t meet boys.” When that year was over, I was like, Here’s your crown

Not worth it!
When asked to comment on the whole episode again, she said, “I know myself and I’m sure that the rest of America is sick of having that person shoved down their throat. So I’m just going to try and avoid it as best as I possibly can”. Reported TMZ.
This “Dancing with the Stars” former contestant, sure knows what she wants. Well done Shanna.

Both pressing charges against one another!
Paris' publicist, Elliot Mintz, his client was the victim and Shanna ripped into her. Travis Barker's ex was shouting and causing a scene, Paris did not fight back. Don't believe that in a second!

A sad day.
"It's confirmed Travis filed for divorce this morning," Barker's rep stated.
Moakler's publicist made a statement in Shanna's behalf, "My only concern is the welfare and best interests of our children."
