Shannen Doherty was in New York City promoting her new book, "Badass: A Hard-Earned Guide to Living Life with Style and (the Right) Attitude".
Shannen Doherty likes wearing little black dresses with a little bit showing. She left little to the imagination in the chest department when she showed up at Flaunt Magazine's 10th Anniversary Party and Annual Holiday Toy Drive.
Shannen Doherty takes the cover of the latest issue of Radar. Here are some highlights from her interview:
On how it felt to be hated by the tabloids:
“I was exploring who I was as a person and testing my own boundaries and trying to be a normal 18-, 19-, 20-year-old, and I got raked over the coals. Many nights I cried myself to sleep over that stuff.”
On the worst lie she ever read about herself:
“There’ve been so many. One of those bullshit rags [wrote that I’d entered AA]. They said that I was so, quote, ’scared of the drink’ that I was sleeping on my sponsor’s couch. Now, I’ve never been in AA. I accompanied my husband to AA meetings—actually, I forced him to go to one—but I’ve never actually gone for myself. Sometimes you can find some truth, a little nugget somewhere, but not one thing about this was true … But people sell their stories and make their 500 bucks at your expense, and it’s like, ‘Wow. Really?’”
The new issue of Radar, where Shannen talks germophobia, her shoe-ophilia, her Christian leanings, and her maybe-wavering Republicanism, hits stands October 7.

Former and current star of "Beverly Hills 90210" Shannen Doherty, stopped by the Ed Sullivan theater in New York on Thursday to make an appearance on CBS' late night talker with David Letterman.
She was on David Letterman late last night where she talked about her personal life and her new CW show "90210" which is a spinoff to her old show "Beverly Hills 90210".
Actress Shannen Doherty has hit out at Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan - insisting they deserve to get negative press for flashing photographers without wearing underwear.
The 37-year-old star was branded a 'bad girl' during her stint on hit U.S. teen show Beverly Hills, 90210 during the height of her acting career in the 1990s.
But she insists her own outlandish behaviour never matched that of Spears and Lohan - who have been snapped in a series of photographs without their knickers.
She says, "You know, you play a character; people perceive you as the character. I guess it means I did my job. But what did I do?! I went out. I was 18 years old! At 18, you're going to sorority parties. I just did it in the public eye.
"I certainly wasn't showing my crotch. Just because I was on 90210 didn't mean that I didn't get to have my own real life experiences. You have to live somewhat normally."
And Doherty says she's already made plans to settle far away from the limelight, where she hopes to start a family.
She adds: "I'm just a normal person who likes to play with my dogs and ride my horses. I dream of moving back to the South every single day of my life now. I'm actually looking at places in Mississippi and Tennessee... I definitely want a child. Or two. Not sure on the two."

Shannen Doherty and the cast of the CW’s “90210” toasted the teen drama’s return to television Saturday night at a lavish invitation-only beachside premiere party in Malibu.
Shannen Doherty, in a pair of super short cut-off jean shorts, tried to feign annoyance when she was photographed making her exit from the übertrendy Green Door nightclub Saturday night.
We know Shannen went to the Sheriff's Department in Lost Hills (Malibu) to complain about paparazzi following her. The cops who talked to her were baffled ... because they had no idea who she was.
The deputy at the front desk confessed he had no idea who she was. Shannen retorted that she was on TV. The deputy, in a scene reminiscent of "Take the Money and Run," began asking others around him if they knew who she was, but none did.
We're told Shannen then left in a huff.
