It was announced that Singer Sheryl Crow has has had surgery for breast cancer.

A statement from Sheryl today, she went into the hospital on Wednesday for the treatment. Crow’s doctors have confirmed her prognosis as being excellent and that she will receive radiation treatment as a precaution.

The singer said: "I am joining the more than 200,000 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. We are a testament to the importance of early detection and new treatments ...
