"The Da Vinci Code" author Dan Brown, was accused in Britain's High Court of taking material for his blockbuster book from a 1982 book about the Holy Grail.
Richard Leigh and Michael Baigent are laying on a huge lawsuit against Brown's British publisher Random House for lifting "the whole architecture" of the research that went into their two 1982 non-fiction books, The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail.
If the lawsuit moves forward in getting an injunction then it will be scheduled May 19, 2006 when the releasing of "The Da Vinci Code" film starring Tom Hanks and Ian McKellan (above) could be threatened.
Jim Kelly, senior vice president of corporate communications at Sony Pictures Entertainment said, "This lawsuit is not about the movie, and we are proceeding with our plans," according to Newsday.
