PENELOPE CRUZ and ADRIEN BRODY's new bull-fighting film have gotten a roit out of the animal right activates, who are having tantrums after hearing reports about potential on-set animal slaughter.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have instructed supporters to disrupt filming on the set of MANOLETE, unless movie-makers agree to use computer techno animals instead of harming real bulls.

A source tells MSNBC's 'The Scoop' website, "If it's true, it's rather shocking because Penelope is a big animal-rights activist who has spoken out against bull-fighting."
