R&B star Beyonce Knowles leads the way at this year's Music of Black Origin (Mobo) Awards with four nominations. She is up against Mary J Blige and Nelly Furtado for best international female artist. Her other nods are for best song, best video and best R&B act.

UK talents Corinne Bailey Rae and Kano have three nominations each. Sway, Beverley Knight, Nate James and Alesha Dixon are also shortlisted.

The London ceremony will be broadcast live on BBC Three on 20 September.

The ceremony will be held at the Royal Albert Hall and presented by comedian Gina Yashere.
