Whitney Houston has finally filed for divorce from her husband Bobby Brown.

All the paperwork was turned in by Friday, Sept. 8 in Orange County, Calif. The divorce is planning to move forward by next month.

A close friend of Houston says, "Whitney is doing great and happy with her decision."

Houston, 43, and Brown, 39, been married for fourteen long-roller-coasting years! They had one child together, their daughter, Bobbi Kristina that's 13-years-old.
