Confusion if Hynie was married to Brown or not.

Well supposedly, brown drew up his will before he was married officially. the will excludes his partner, Tomi Rae Hynie, and their 5-year-old son. The will was drawn up 10 months before Hynie and Brown's child was conceived. Brown never got around to adding them in. that's so sad.

The will was signed August 1, 2000, Strom Thurmond Jr., Brown's, witnessed by his attorney in Aiken, South Carolina.

James Brown passed on last month in Atlanta, Georgia at age 73, married Hynie in December 2001. James Brown Jr. was born six months before the union took place June 11.

Brown's attorneys are stating that Hynie was never married to Brown because supposedly she was still married to another man when they exchanged their vows. Hynie later said she annulled her first marriage. She says she was legally married to Brown.
