Grazia magazine recently ran a story on Winslet (February 2007) claiming she was taking desperate measures to shed pounds because her doctor advised it.
Speaking at last night's BAFTA awards in London, Kate Winslet said, "I'm very upset, it's categorically untrue, it's a complete lie." Reported Playfuls.
Mother of two continued: "I really resent that you have to hold onto a certain image of perfection; thinner is better. It's so damaging, not only to young girls that read these magazines but it frightens the hell out of me."
