Cheryl's album 3 Words was executive-produced by Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am, but Jay-Z's input on her career would give her profile in the US an enormous boost.
The 26-year-old singer is said to have hit it off with Jay-Z's wife Beyoncé when she performed a duet on the show with Alexandra Burke.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Cheryl is the biggest fan of Jay-Z and Beyoncé. To hear the feeling is mutual has totally made her year. She never imagined her album would have taken off like this. To get Jay-Z’s support is beyond her wildest dreams."
