It has been an eventful and photographed experience since Brangelina and family have been in Venice for the actress’s new movie. Her and her father, Jon Voight, have been estranged for about seven years, but now Angelina Jolie & dad reunite in the Italian city.
Back in 2001, the feud began when Voight said his daughter needed to seek help for her “serious mental problems.” Over the last year rumors came out that apparently the two started to try and work things out. Now they are seen for the first time in a while in public on a family outing!
Several years back the gorgeous brunette had this to say about the father-daughter relationship she has,
“My father and I don’t speak. I don’t hold any anger toward him. I don’t believe that somebody’s family becomes their blood. Because my son’s adopted, and families are earned.”
However something has motivated whether or not Angelina Jolie & dad reunite. Perhaps it was the constant support from her loving boyfriend, Brad Pitt. According to someone close to the couple,
“Since (Pitt and Jolie) have been together, Brad has been encouraging Angie to smooth things over with her dad,” the source said. “And when it comes to the kids, Brad wants them to know their grandfather the way the kids know his parents.”
