The 38-year-old will play the role of Che opposite Argentine actress Elena Roger, who has already played the part of Eva Peron to rave reviews in London.
Ricky, who has previously appeared on Broadway in a production Les Miserables, says: "I've never lost my love for the intimacy of the theater."
