True Blood Feature Film on the Way
HBO are taking steps to ride the popularity of what has become their flagship show, True Blood, all the way into theatres. The show recently finished up its third season to generally mixed reviews(for the series finale anyway), yet that did nothing to stall the popularity of the show which has to be seen as something of a phenomenon. Apparently series creator Alan Ball is looking to direct the film adaptation himself.
True Blood does take pride in its gore/sex content and certainly fully exploits HBO's "anything goes" policy. Aside from that there is some extremely high quality writing and acting on offer for those willing to give it a go.
A fourth season will follow, then another is expected before the film goes into production; nothing is certain yet.
